# What is a Site?

> How a Site keeps one business's profile, scan setup, results, and Assistant conversations together.

A **Site** is the workspace for one business website or brand presence. It keeps that business's profile, scan setup, results, and Assistant conversations separate from every other business you manage.

## One Site per business presence

Create a separate Site when a business presence needs its own scan setup and results.

* A business with one website usually needs one Site.
* Two distinct brands on separate domains need separate Sites.
* A client with several brands can have several Sites inside the same client workspace.

This separation prevents prompts, competitors, models, schedules, and results from mixing across business presences.

## What a Site contains

Each Site includes:

* A **business profile** with the brand name, industry, target customers, operating regions, description, and brand aliases.
* Scan configuration under **Competitors**, **Prompt Library**, **Models**, and **Schedule**.
* **Insights** pages and completed scan history for the Site.
* Conversations with the **Onsomble Assistant** that belong to the Site.
* **Site Settings**, where you can update the profile or delete the Site.

Changing Sites changes the business context for the dashboard and the Assistant. Results from one Site are not included in another Site's views.

## When to create a new Site

Create another Site when the business presence needs different prompts, competitors, models, regions, or scan history. For example:

* Your business launches a separate brand on its own domain.
* A subsidiary has its own customers and competitors.
* An agency client has several brand websites that need separate reporting.

<Tip>
  If the same profile, prompts, competitors, and schedule would not make sense
  for both business presences, use separate Sites.
</Tip>

## Sites for agencies

Agency accounts organise Sites inside clients:

* The **Portfolio** lists your clients.
* Each client workspace contains that client's Sites and scan activity.
* Each Site still has the same Insights, scan configuration, Assistant, and Site Settings available to a business account.

See [Onboarding a client](/for-agencies/adding-a-client) for the agency-specific setup flow.
