Keyboard Shortcuts
Skip the mouse. These shortcuts help you work faster.
Note
On Mac, use Cmd instead of Ctrl.
Moving Around

Arrow keys | Move one cell |

Shift + Enter | Move up |
Ctrl + Arrow | Jump to edge of data |
Ctrl + Home | Go to cell A1 |
Ctrl + End | Go to last cell with data |
Page Down | Scroll down one screen |
Page Up | Scroll up one screen |
Alt + Page Down | Scroll right one screen |
Alt + Page Up | Scroll left one screen |
Tip
Ctrl + Arrow jumps to the edge of your data. Great for large spreadsheets.
Selecting Cells

Shift + Arrow | Extend selection one cell |
Shift + Click | Select from current cell to clicked cell |
Ctrl + Shift + Arrow | Select to edge of data |
Ctrl + Shift + End | Select to last cell |
Ctrl + Shift + Home | Select to cell A1 |
Ctrl + A | Select all (press twice for whole sheet) |
Ctrl + Space | Select entire column |
Shift + Space | Select entire row |
Editing Cells

Backspace | Clear and start editing |

Quick Entry
Just start typing to replace what’s in a cell:

Copy and Paste

Ctrl + Shift + V | Paste values only (no formulas) |
Tip
Paste Values pastes the calculated result, not the formula. Useful when you want to freeze a number.
Working with Formulas

The F4 Trick
Press F4 while editing a cell reference to cycle through options:
A1 → $A$1 → A$1 → $A1 → A1Rows and Columns
